Handicapping

The Oneonta Country Club uses the Golf Handicapping Index Network (GHIN) as maintained by the USGA. This Index calculates your handicap based on previous golf scores and is very important if you would like to participate in competitive League and Tournament play at the Club.

Whether you play on our course, or at another, this system allows you to use your scores to further define your level of play.​

Located in the ProShop, a computer terminal is provided for you to check your handicap, input scores, or otherwise make use of this system to enhance your game.​ There is also an app for your smartphone that offers the same functionality, search for “USGA GHIN” where you get your apps.
